The May 11 Tech Event at Royal Restoration in Kitchener was attended by 12 members, with 3 Healeys making the trek! Chris Saur, a 25-year tool and die maker showed us around his shop, explaining how the metal fabrication equipment works – ranging from the simple press brake to highly sophisticated CNC machinery.
Chris can fabricate anything out of steel, aluminum, teflon, anything – all at very reasonable rates! Chris treated members to the pressing of a new floor pan from 18 gauge steel using a die of his own creation. Have a hard-to-source Healey part?
